Touchet belts 2 home runs, Nutcrackers Move to 15-6
|
With designated hitter Bill Touchet leading the charge, the Normal Nutcrackers defeated the Panana City Bombers, 6-2, at Donald J. Trump Presidential Stadium. Touchet, who is tied for 5th in the CFL in bases on balls with 13, belted 2 home runs. Normal reliever Manny de Jesus got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Jason Klein was tagged with the loss. Normal has an impressive 15-6 record.
Raul Padilla helped out the Normal cause in the top of the first inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the catcher went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
"We had a nice day," said Normal skipper Richard Lawson.
