Totems Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
|
Victoria Totems starter Steve Pickering was in fine form against the St. Paul Grognards at The Thunderdome, leading his team to a 6-0 win. The Grognards, now 4-10, continue their poor start.
Mark Wolter aided the Victoria cause with a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth. For the game, the second baseman went 1-5 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Wolter said.
