Vega Helps Montreal Cruise to 10-3 Win
Montreal right fielder Jerry Vega had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Sedona Sabercats, 10-3. Montreal reliever Travis Zastrow picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Juan Centeno shouldered the loss. Montreal has an impressive 12-4 record.

One important at-bat came with a runner on 1st in the top of the seventh inning. Facing Sedona hurler Juan Centeno, Tony Garza, who is tied for 9th in the CFL in bases on balls with 9, hit a single. The Cardinals went on to win.

Vega expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
