Jerry Vega made an impact in the 8-3 Montreal win over Sedona. Vega, who is tied for 7th in the CFL in extra base hits with 10, went 2-5 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Juan Amaya got credit for the save for Montreal. It was his 1st of the year. The first-place Cardinals have a one-game lead in their division.

Vega contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Montreal in the top of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Vega took a fastball from Dustin Arcuri and stroked the home run to right. His 5th home run of the season allowed the Cardinals to leap in front, 2-1.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Vega.
