The Rosewell Tribbles had no problem beating the Yuma Varmits, 13-2, at Classified Field. Matt Drake led the way. He was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 5 for Rosewell. The winner was Junior Castillo, who threw 115 pitches over 9 innings. The right-hander was charged with 2 runs on 9 hits. Rosewell has now won 3 in a row.

Drake contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Rosewell in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 2-1, Drake took a curveball from Chris Costello and stroked the home run to left. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Tribbles to leap in front, 5-2.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Drake.
