Gamble Helps Storm Run Win Streak to 4
|
Wichita and The Stinging put this game in the books despite some rain.
Getting a good performance from right fielder Mike Gamble, the Wichita Storm defeated the The Stinging Larvae, 7-4. Gamble went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for the Storm. Joel Stapleton picked up the save for Wichita, his 2nd of the year.
Gamble had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the third inning, when he hit a run-scoring double. The Storm went on to win.
"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Wichita manager Cliff Moon.
Wichita is off to a hot start at 6-2.
