Despite a fine performance by shortstop Benjamin Williams, the Sedona Sabercats suffered a 8-7 loss to the The Stinging Larvae. Williams went 3 for 3 with 3 singles and 2 walks. The Larvae, with just their 1st win in 4 games, have played uninspired baseball so far.

The Larvae got a big at-bat from pinch hitter J.D. Bruce. For the game, Bruce was 1 for 1, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the eighth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 1st hit of the season gave The Stinging a 8-6 lead.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said The Stinging manager Antonio Alejos.
