The Tunica Diamonds relied on the hitting of catcher Brian Hawkins to stop the Caribbean Commies, 6-2. For the game, Hawkins was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Vic Horn, credited with the save, is now 16 for 20 in save opportunities. Caribbean's current losing streak is now 4 games.
