Rail Riders Clip KO in Tight Contest

The Augusta Rail Riders got a good effort from starter Bobby Rodriguez in defeating the Long Beach KO at Knockout Stadium by Brooklyn Decker. The final score was 2-1. Rodriguez went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 2. His record improves to 2-4. Cory Hoffman converted his 7th save in 10 tries.
Chris Ojeda contributed to the Augusta win with a solo home run in the top of the eighth. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 RBI.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Rodriguez said after the game.
The Rail Riders go to 31-39, putting them 4th in the Prince Fielder League John Mayberry Division.
