The Long Beach KO defeated the Augusta Rail Riders, 8-7. Earning player of the game honors was center fielder Danny Castillo, who slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Long Beach is now 44-24, 4 games up in the Prince Fielder League Tony Fernandez Division.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Long Beach catcher Julio Barraza, facing Josh Denney, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the KO the 8-7 win.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Long Beach manager Lorenzo Rodríguez.
