The Scottsdale Scorpions stopped the Caribbean Commies, 5-2, at Scottsdale Stadium. The Scorpions got a big game from Manuel Llanes, who went 3-3 with 3 singles and 2 walks. Steve Higgins was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 21 of 23 save opportunities. Scottsdale now has a 3-game win streak.
