Almas Excels, So Cal Blows Out Rubber City
The exploits of first baseman Cien Almas, who is tied for 5th in the RCL in RBI with 58, helped the So Cal Republic defeat the Rubber City Rhinos, 13-1. Almas slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 5 runs and driving in 3. So Cal goes to 61-32. The win puts them 8 games up in their division.

Luiz Lopez, who is a two-time All-Star, aided the So Cal cause with a 2-run single in the top of the fourth. For the game, the shortstop went 3-5 with 2 doubles. He drove in 5 runs and scored once.
