Victory Pushes Bomberos Record to 32-29
|
The El Paso Bomberos beat the Las Cruces Javalinas, 7-3, at The Back Draft. The Bomberos got a fine performance from right fielder Katsuyuki Yokoi, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times. Rich Cabrera picked up the win, improving his season record to 2-3. He struck out 5 in 5 innings. Jaime Tait, credited with the save, is now 16 for 18 in save opportunities.
Chris Raney, who is tied for 7th in the PFL in runs scored with 42, aided the El Paso cause with a bases-clearing triple in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the left fielder was 2-3 with a triple and a walk, while adding 3 RBI.
