Scorpions Solve Diamonds, 6-3
|
The Scottsdale Scorpions defeated the Tunica Diamonds, 6-3, at Clam Jammer Dome today. Leading the charge for Scottsdale was right fielder Eric Kilpatrick. He was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Scottsdale, at 26-33, occupies last place in the Prince Fielder League Tony Fernandez Division.
Kilpatrick had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a first pitch fastball from Eddie Lara, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Scorpions a 4-2 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Kilpatrick.
"We did a lot of things right," said Kilpatrick.
