Benefiting from Wijnand Streefland's productive game, the Caribbean Commies downed the Augusta Rail Riders, 5-4. Streefland was 2-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Commies. The Commies bumped their record to 36-23 with this latest triumph.

The Commies got a big at-bat from designated hitter Esteban Rivera. For the game, Rivera went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 25th home run of the season gave Caribbean a 4-1 lead.
