Boca Raton pitcher Lazaro Flores gave the Rangers all they could handle, but in the end, Rockville left Scripps Field with a 2-1 win. Flores allowed 2 earned runs on 6 hits over 7.2 innings. C.J. Harnack converted his 16th save in 16 tries. The third-place Fighting Iguanas have lost 4 consecutive games.
Rafael Santos, who is tied for 10th in the PFL in hits with 64, came through for Rockville with a solo home run in the top of the sixth. The second baseman was a perfect 3 for 3 in the game, including 1 home run and 2 singles. He scored 1 run and collected 1 run batted in.
"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Santos told the Rockville News. "You win just by scoring more runs."
