The Las Cruces Javalinas got a stellar performance from pitcher Ray Shumaker, who handcuffed the Scottsdale offense en route to a 4-2 win at Scottsdale Stadium. Shumaker picked up the win for Las Cruces, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 1-8. Danny Jensen converted his 13th save in 16 tries.
