The Scottsdale Scorpions got a stellar performance from pitcher Dave Rodgers, who handcuffed the Las Cruces offense en route to a 2-0 win at Scottsdale Stadium. The last-place Javalinas have lost 6 consecutive games.

Rob Bjorndahl aided the Scottsdale cause with a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the designated hitter went 1 for 2 with a home run.
