Rail Riders Bang Out 6-3 Win Versus Las Cruces
Augusta played host to Las Cruces at the friendly confines of Murderer's Row.

The Augusta Rail Riders topped the Las Cruces Javalinas by the score of 6-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to first baseman Daniel Garcia. Garcia was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Rail Riders on the day. Augusta reliever Justin Gilmore picked up the win, upping his record to 5-3. Ray Shumaker was saddled with the loss.

Garcia had a key at-bat for Augusta early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and gave Augusta an early 3-1 lead.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Garcia said after the game.

Augusta now sits at 24-29, while Las Cruces falls to 23-30.
