It was a fun time at Brewbaker Memorial Stadium, where the Barbados Revenge and Rockville Rangers tangled.
The Rockville Rangers got a strong performance from pitcher Victor Parga, who stymied the Barbados offense en route to a 4-2 win at Brewbaker Memorial Stadium. Parga, the winner, moves to 4-2. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up no walks. C.J. Harnack converted his 15th save in 15 tries.
Dave Newcombe swatted a 2-run home run for Rockville in the bottom of the sixth. The center fielder went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and batted in 2.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Parga said.
Rockville has now won 4 straight.
