Suenos Come Back Late to Top Scorpions
The Scottsdale Scorpions got a sterling performance from second baseman Bruce Allison, but the Suenos still prevailed, 6-5. Allison was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He was 2-3 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Suenos, at 21-27, sit in 5th place in the Prince Fielder League Tony Fernandez Division.

The game was at a stalemate until shortstop Manuel Armenta came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Scottsdale pitcher Steve Higgins, he hit a 2-1 sinker for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Santa Barbara on top, 6-5.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Armenta said.
