Behind the bravura of center fielder Corey Hodgson, the Scottsdale Scorpions topped the Santa Barbara Suenos by the score of 4-1. Hodgson went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Scorpions. Tony Colunga got credit for the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed 1 run on 5 hits in 4.1 innings. The Scorpions improved to 20-27.

Hodgson had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the fourth inning, when he hit a run-scoring double. The Scorpions went on to win.

In postgame comments, Hodgson told the Scottsdale Times: "Do people still doubt I give 100 percent?"
