The Hawaii Islanders beat the Brooklyn Black Knights, 5-4, at Aloha Stadium. The Islanders got a fine performance from shortstop Tynan Miller, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Hawaii reliever Keith Martin got the win, raising his record to 5-3. Ji-hwan Yea was tagged with the loss. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Islanders.
Baber Davi was the walk-off hero for Hawaii. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Islanders first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Hawaii manager Leland Ray.
