Calderon 'Lights Out' in Las Cruces Win
|
Las Cruces starter Mario Calderon put a stranglehold on the Brooklyn offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Javalinas to a 5-1 win. The 'W' lifts Las Cruces's record to 22-27.
Calderon pitched a complete game for Las Cruces. Calderon surrendered 2 hits over 9 innings and struck out 10. With the win, he moves to 2-0 on the season.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Calderon said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
