The Tunica Diamonds got a sterling performance from second baseman Scott Herrin, but the Rangers still prevailed, 5-4. Herrin was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Rockville reliever C.J. Harnack picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Vic Horn absorbed the loss. The Rangers, now 24-24, know that wins in August count the same as wins in September.
