Bombers Lose to Blazers, 5-3
|
Bloomington rode a decent outing from starter Landy Lu to victory over the South Carolina Bombers at Arson Arena. The final score was 5-3. Paco Berroa locked down his 5th save. The win brings the Blazers to 6-4, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
Eugene Axe hit a run-scoring double off Ángel Ruíz in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Blazers in front, 2-1. In addition to the double, Axe had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"I liked his command," said Bloomington manager Javier Ramírez. "Landy was throwing strikes."
