The Caribbean Commies powered past the Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas, 13-5, at Castro Field. Simon April was 2-3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times and driving in 5, to lead the charge. Caribbean is now 28-16, 5½ games up in the Prince Fielder League John Mayberry Division.

April had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the second inning, when he hit a grand slam. The Commies went on to win.
