The Tunica Diamonds trumped the Barbados Revenge, 6-3, at Clam Jammer Dome. Tunica catcher Brian Hawkins was named player of the game for his performance. He went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Tunica reliever Bobby Roche picked up the win to move to 3-0. Jorge Aceves suffered the loss. Vic Horn sewed up the save, his 7th.
The Diamonds got a big at-bat from right fielder David Decker. For the game, Decker went 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 4th double of the season gave Tunica a 3-1 lead.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Hawkins.
Tunica now sits at 18-20, while Barbados falls to 20-18.
