The Caribbean Commies dealt the El Paso Bomberos a 11-5 loss at Castro Field. Ivan Carreon was the star on offense. He went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Caribbean is now 26-13, 5½ games up in the Prince Fielder League John Mayberry Division.

The Commies got a big at-bat from first baseman Esteban Rivera. For the game, Rivera was 3-5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 16th home run of the season gave Caribbean a 8-4 lead.

In postgame comments to the Caribbean Observer, Rivera said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
