Pitcher Chris Ambrose was sensational for the Long Beach KO in his team's 3-1 triumph over the Scottsdale Scorpions. Ambrose received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. The KO, now 25-15, know that wins in August count the same as wins in September.
Jimmy Theriot, who is tied for 6th in the PFL in doubles with 9, aided the Long Beach cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the third baseman was 1 for 4 with a double.
"It was a solid team effort," said Ambrose after the game.
