Riding the 2-hit performance of the 21-year old right fielder Eric Kilpatrick, the Scottsdale Scorpions stopped the Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas, 7-2. Steve Higgins picked up the save, his 8th. Scottsdale is now 14-22, Boca Raton 18-18.

The Scorpions got a big at-bat from second baseman Bruce Allison. For the game, Allison was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the fifth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Scottsdale a 3-1 lead.
