Scottsdale third baseman Bryce Pope played a vital role in his team's 3-1 triumph over Barbados. He was 2 for 3 with a double and a walk for Scottsdale. The win was credited to Dave Francisco in relief. His record improves to 2-5. Bubba Pell took the loss. Scottsdale is now 13-21, while Barbados is 18-16.
The Scorpions got a big at-bat from shortstop Jordan Vasquez. For the game, Vasquez went 1 for 3 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 1st double of the season gave Scottsdale a 2-0 lead.
