Getting an impressive start from Carlos Carballo, Scottsdale beat Barbados by the score of 3-1. With the win, the Scorpions improved to 12-20.

Jason Pinson aided the Scottsdale cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the left fielder drove in one run.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Carballo told the Scottsdale Times.
