Beavers Lose, 10-5, at Metroplex Park
Portland center fielder Joe Coleman pounded Dallas Texans pitchers at Metroplex Park, but it was not enough to keep the Beavers from falling, 10-5. Coleman went 3-4 with 2 home runs and a double, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Dallas reliever Maximino Pato picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Rolf Pals was saddled with the loss. The save was credited to Josuke Fujihara, his 2nd.

A crucial at-bat came with the bases empty and no one out in the bottom of the sixth inning. That's when third baseman Kunihiro Shibata hit a triple. The Texans went on to win.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Dallas skipper Anastasio Ojeda.

Dallas, now 4-6, is off to a slow start.
