Rail Riders Lose, 5-2, at The Drunken Wench Stadium

The Barbados Revenge defeated the Augusta Rail Riders, 5-2. Earning player of the game honors was center fielder Mike Rizzo, who was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The winner was Bubba Pell in relief. His record improves to 4-1. Francisco Varela took the loss. Yukiyasu Kawashima got credit for the save for Barbados. It was his 1st of the year.
Tim Sorrells drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances for Barbados. The 21-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Francisco Varela. It was his 6th RBI of the season.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Rizzo told the Barbados Daily News.
The Revenge bumped their record to 17-14 with this latest triumph.
