Rail Riders Drop Commies with Late Score
The Augusta Rail Riders bested the Caribbean Commies by a score of 8-7, with left fielder Joel Moroney getting the main credit. On the day, Moroney went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for the Rail Riders. Augusta reliever Justin Gilmore picked up the win, upping his record to 4-0. Will Hooper shouldered the loss. The Rail Riders have an impressive 16-10 record.

Late-game drama came in the bottom of the ninth inning. With no one out and the bases empty, the batter, Rich Velasquez, hit a triple. It helped Augusta seize the win.
