Diamonds Squelch Scorpions Offense in Shutout Win
The Tunica Diamonds got a good effort from starter Roberto Bazan in defeating the Scottsdale Scorpions at Scottsdale Stadium. The final score was 5-0. Bazan got the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed 1 hit and walked 3 over 5 innings. Bazan allowed no earned runs. Tunica is now 12-14, Scottsdale 9-17.

The Diamonds got a big at-bat from designated hitter Alex Martinez. For the game, Martinez went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Tunica a 2-0 lead.
