Pioneers Run Win Streak to 7
|
Fans who gathered at Golden Gate Park saw a good contest between the Vancouver Pioneers and San Francisco Earthquakes.
The Vancouver Pioneers did just enough to secure a 5-4 victory over the San Francisco Earthquakes at Golden Gate Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Kenko Samurakami, who captured player of the game honors. Tomoyuki Kiyomizu earned his 3rd save in 3 chances.
The Pioneers got a big at-bat from catcher Baskoro Pamungkas. For the game, Pamungkas was 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the top of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 12th double of the season gave Vancouver a 2-0 lead.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Pamungkas.
The 4th-place Pioneers have won 7 straight games.
