The Dallas Texans racked up a win at Waterfront Park, bumping off the Portland Beavers, 5-3. Tony López, who started for Dallas, pitched effectively for his team. The Texans bumped their record to 52-38 with this latest triumph.

Pablo Moreno, who is rated as the 3rd best prospect by BNN, aided the Dallas cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth. For the game, the center fielder was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"If I do my job, we've usually got a good chance to win the game," said López.
