Revenge Lose, 3-1, at Vin Scully Park
|
The Brooklyn Cyclones picked up a win at Vin Scully Park, knocking off the Barbados Revenge, 3-1. Starting pitcher Andrew Welborn was an essential part of his team's success. The Cyclones bumped their record to 12-12 with this latest triumph.
The Cyclones got a big at-bat from shortstop Ray Flores. For the game, Flores went 1-3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 1st double of the season gave Brooklyn a 2-1 lead.
Afterward, Cyclones manager Alex Romero was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
