Barbados turned a good effort from starter Lance Crumpton into a win over the Rockville Rangers at The Drunken Wench Stadium. The final score was 3-1. The win was Donald Barron's in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Blake Orlando took the loss for Rockville. The Rangers, at 11-9, have lost 5 straight games.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the sixth, with the game tied, Sam Lewis was at the plate when Barbados scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Revenge to go in front, 2-1.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Crumpton said.
