Cyclones Get Past Tunica for 2-1 Win
|
The Brooklyn Cyclones got a stellar performance from pitcher Ricky Espinosa, who handcuffed the Tunica offense en route to a 2-1 win at Clam Jammer Dome. Mike Crawford was credited with the save for Brooklyn, his 5th of the season. The Cyclones bumped their record to 10-8 with this latest triumph.
The Cyclones got a big at-bat from second baseman Tobias Carrillo. For the game, Carrillo went 1-4 with a home run. In the top of the ninth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Brooklyn a 2-1 lead.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Tunica manager Kiyomori Shimizu.
