Commies Raise Rally Flag, Beat Rockville, 3-1

Caribbean and Rockville duked it out at Brewbaker Memorial Stadium and the Commies came out victorious.
The Commies had to overcome a fine effort from Rockville pitcher Victor Parga to grab a narrow 3-1 win at Brewbaker Memorial Stadium. Parga went 6.1 innings and allowed no earned runs. The first-place Commies have a one-game lead in their division.
Caribbean used the timely hitting of Jon Dibling to capture the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Commies on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but he made it count.
Dibling told a Caribbean Observer reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
