The Caribbean Commies did just enough to secure a 5-4 victory over the Long Beach KO at Castro Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Diego Flores, who captured player of the game honors. Caribbean reliever Angelo Blas was the winner. His record is now 1-1. Trey Puglisi took the loss. The loss drops Long Beach to 8-6.

The Commies got a big at-bat from right fielder Jon Dibling. For the game, Dibling went 1 for 4. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the seventh, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 17th hit of the season gave Caribbean a 5-4 lead.

"Enjoyed this one," Dibling told the Caribbean Observer. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
