The Scottsdale Scorpions defeated the Santa Barbara Suenos, 10-6. Earning player of the game honors was left fielder Sergio Salazar, who was 2-3 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Reliever Steve Higgins picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Jarrod Cousins took the loss. The Suenos, now 5-9, continue their poor start.

Bryan Wilson's hit in the top of the 11th was a game-changer. With one out, he rapped a cutter from Jarrod Cousins for a run-scoring single. It put Scottsdale in front, 6-5.

"We're just going to try to build off this win," said Wilson.
