Castillo Excels, Augusta Blows Out El Paso
The Augusta Rail Riders got production from their entire lineup in an easy 16-2 win over the El Paso Bomberos. Player of the game honors went to center fielder Danny Castillo. Castillo, who is tied for 6th in the PFL in stolen bases with 3, was 4-6 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5. Augusta reliever Josh Denney picked up the win to move to 1-0. Jesus Ruiz suffered the loss. Luis Zarate got credit for the save for Augusta. It was his 1st of the year.

Castillo had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the fifth inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Rail Riders went on to win.

El Paso manager Brian Moore called the blowout loss "ugly."
