Stone goes 3-for-5, Revenge Move to 7-4
|
The El Paso Bomberos and Barbados Revenge were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd at The Back Draft.
The Barbados Revenge topped the El Paso Bomberos, 9-3, with youngster Danny Stone playing a key role. Stone went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for the Revenge in the win. At 7-4, the Revenge have played well so far.
Stone had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 1-1 cutter from Alex Ugarte, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Revenge a 4-3 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Stone.
"We'll savor this win," Stone told the Barbados Daily News, "then get ready for the next game."
