Rail Riders Get Close Win Over Suenos
In a tight contest at Murderer's Row, the Augusta Rail Riders edged the Santa Barbara Suenos by the score of 6-5. Augusta right fielder Joel Moroney, who blasted 1 home run, was named the player of the game. Augusta reliever Dale Loder picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Andrew Millard was saddled with the loss. The Suenos fall to 5-8 and continue their lackluster start in 2034.

The clutch at-bat in the bottom of the ninth belonged to Moroney. Facing Andrew Millard with runners on 1st and 3rd, the Augusta right fielder had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. Game over, walk-off style!

"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," Moroney told the Augusta Times.
