Rockville got a terrific game from second baseman Jose Sanchez. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Las Cruces, 7-3. Sanchez was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Losses have been rare for the Rangers, who are now 9-4.

Las Cruces took a 5-3 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With one out, center fielder Luis Fraire hit a 2-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.

In comments to the Las Cruces Daily News, Fraire insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
