Javalinas Roll to 8-2 Win Over Rangers
The Las Cruces Javalinas knocked off the Rockville Rangers, 8-2, at Peccary Park. Sam Cadieux, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Las Cruces won. The left fielder was 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a double. He scored 3 times. Danny Trujillo got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 3.1 innings. Losses have been few and far between for the Rangers, who are now 8-3.

Noah Smith, who is rated as the 25th best prospect by BNN, aided the Las Cruces cause with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the shortstop went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

"We looked pretty good up and down," said Las Cruces manager Johan Gillberry.
